Product Features
OSLO crystallizers with grading capabilities are commonly used for producing products with larger grain sizes. Crystals are fluidized and suspended in a supersaturated liquid flow, providing optimal flow conditions for crystal growth. The system supersaturation is generated in the external heat exchanger, with the crystal growth area positioned at the bottom of the crystallizer. The supersaturated liquid is sent to the bottom of the crystallizer, as it rises it passes through the crystal bed, progressively eliminating supersaturation, and the crystals gradually grow larger.
Typically, we design it as a crystallizer with a large diameter clarification zone. After the solution is clarified and the supersaturation is eliminated, it is then pumped out to achieve new supersaturation. Its advantages lie in the lower content of crystal particles in the circulating mother liquor, which significantly reduces the contact probability between the pump impeller and the crystal grains, lowering the rate of secondary nucleation, and providing the necessary conditions for cultivating large-grain crystals.
OSLO Crystallizer is used for producing larger size crystals with its classifying function. The crystals are fluidized and suspended in a supersaturated liquid which provided an excellent flow field condition for crystals growth.The system supersaturation is generated from the external heat exchanger. The crystal growth region is arranged at the lower part of the crystallizer. Supersaturated liquid is delivered to the bottom of the mold and passes through the crystal bed as it rises. It gradually eliminates supersaturation and grows up.
We usually design it as a mold with a large diameter of clear area. After removing the supersaturated, the solution is clarified and pumped away to obtain a new supersaturation. The content of crystal particles in circulating mother liquor is less, thereby greatly reducing the contact probability between the impeller and the grain of the pump, lowering the rate of second nucleation providing the necessary conditions for the cultivation of large grain crystals.
Applied Range
Suitable for low-temperature (or freezing) crystallization of products with good crystal grain and low mother liquor viscosity, such as sodium sulfate heptahydrate, ammonium chloride, sodium nitrate, persulfates, carbonates, oxalates, etc.
Suitable for products with good particle size of crystals and low viscosity of mother liquor crystallized in low temperature (or freeze) environment. such as sal glauberi, ammonium chloride, sodium nitrate, persulfate, carbonate, oxalate and so on.
