Bottom discharge valves are primarily used in the discharge operations at the bottom of reactors, tanks, and other containers. They are welded to the bottom of tanks via a bottom flange, effectively eliminating the residue issue of process medium at the container outlet. According to actual operating conditions, the bottom discharge structure is designed with a flat bottom, the valve body in a V-shape, and features both lifting and lowering valve disc operating modes.


The valve body cavity is equipped with abrasion and corrosion-resistant sealing rings, which protect the valve body from medium erosion and corrosion at the moment of valve opening. Additionally, the sealing rings are treated specially, achieving a surface hardness of HRC56 - 62, offering high wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The valve disc sealing is customized according to requirements, with all covers surfacing-welded with hard alloy. The sealing pair uses a linear sealing form, ensuring reliable sealing while effectively preventing scaling. Furthermore, a short-travel valve disc design is adopted to further enhance valve performance. This valve is widely used in various industries such as chemicals, petrochemicals, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes, food processing, and offers a variety of operation methods including manual, pneumatic (spring return, double-acting, with and without a handwheel), electric, hydraulic, and gear.

Section 3: Operation Method Description


  1. Manual operationThe valve is opened and closed by rotating the handwheel. Turning the handwheel clockwise closes the valve; for a downward lifting valve, the valve rod rotates downward at this point; for an upward lifting valve, the valve rod moves upward.

  2. Pneumatic operationIncluding spring return type, double-acting type, and various forms with and without handwheels. They can be flexibly selected based on actual control requirements and on-site environment, powered by compressed air to drive valve operation, achieving automatic control.

  3. Electric OperationUsing a motor as the power source, the electrical control system precisely regulates the opening and closing degree of the valves, suitable for long-distance control and highly automated production processes.

  4. Hydraulic operationHydraulically powered, it generates substantial thrust, ideal for applications requiring high force on valve operation, ensuring stable and reliable valve performance.
