Epoxy coal tar coated steel pipes are anti-corrosion coatings made by applying a paint consisting of epoxy resin, coal tar pitch, and filler to the surface of steel pipes, reinforced with glass fabric. This product is also known as 2-braid-1-oil, 3-braid-2-oil, or 4-braid-3-oil, and is primarily used for the external corrosion protection of buried or underwater steel pipelines for oil, gas, water, and heating supply. It is also suitable for the corrosion protection of various steel structures, docks, ships, sluices, coal gas storage tanks, equipment in oil refining and chemical plants, as well as for waterproofing and leakage prevention of concrete structures such as concrete pipes, sewage pools, roof waterproofing layers, bathrooms, and basements. 1. Categorized by shape
Steel pipes can be categorized by shape into: round pipes, square pipes, rectangular pipes, octagonal pipes, hexagonal pipes, D-shaped pipes, pentagonal pipes, and various other shaped steel pipes such as complex cross-section pipes, double concave pipes, five-lobed plum blossom-shaped pipes, conical pipes, corrugated pipes, pumpkin-shaped pipes, and double convex pipes, etc.
2. Categorized by Application
Steel pipes can be categorized by application as: pipeline steel pipes, thermal equipment steel pipes, mechanical industry steel pipes, oil and geological drilling steel pipes, container steel pipes, chemical industry steel pipes, and special purpose steel pipes, etc.
1. This anti-corrosion coating product features a smooth, dense, and hard finish with strong adhesion. It excels in resistance to salt, alkali, seawater, soil microbial corrosion, and plant root penetration. When used in combination with glass fiber cloth, it enhances the mechanical properties of the anti-corrosion layer.
2. Room temperature application, self-curing, easy to install, suitable for both manual and mechanical application, especially ideal for on-site use.
Epoxy coal tar coatings are categorized into two types based on their application functions: epoxy coal tar primer and epoxy coal tar topcoat. Our company's epoxy coal tar primer is a solvent-based product; the epoxy coal tar topcoat is a series of products, divided into two types based on solid content: solvent-free (GH201) and thick paste (GH202). They are further classified by the heat resistance temperature of the coating during use, into heat-resistant (useable up to 150℃ with W added) and standard type (useable up to 100℃). These are provided for users to select according to their actual anti-corrosion engineering requirements.
