High-Speed Steel Saw Blade Usage Tips

Application Recommendations:

The new blade is undergoing trial operation. To ensure a long service life, it is crucial for the automatic machine to reduce the feeding speed in the first 10 minutes of cutting. The speed is then gradually increased over the next 10 minutes.

Cutting and Material Feeding Speed:

Cutting speed depends on the type of material being cut, its cross-section, and its toughness. Materials with higher toughness require a slower cutting speed. Smaller cross-section materials are suitable for higher speeds, while larger cross-sections can be cut at slower speeds. (Cutting pressure applied.)

Cutting pressure depends on the material's cross-section; larger cross-sections require greater pressure. For thin tubes and small structural steel, the faster the feed rate, the better, with the exception of using a smaller cutting pressure.

Observe the wood chips to determine if the cutting is in good condition:

• Very fine or powdery sawdust indicates insufficient cutting pressure.

• Coarse, soft sawdust indicates overloading in cutting.

• Long spiral sawdust indicates a good condition.

Due to market competition, suppliers often cut corners in the production process of raw materials, resulting in a high level of impurities. When saw blades cut through materials with impurities, it can cause cracking or an uneven surface finish.
