Wireless magnetostrictive level gauges are high-precision, long-range linear position sensors for liquid level measurement, utilizing the magnetostrictive principle to measure the liquid surface in tanks. The sensor of a wireless magnetostrictive liquid level gauge operates by exciting a pulsed current along the waveguide wire, which generates a pulsed magnetic field around the wire as it propagates. The magnetostrictive principle is based on detecting the time at which strain pulse signals are produced when different magnetic fields intersect, thus calculating the precise location of the intersection point. The sensor rod of an intelligent liquid level gauge is equipped with a float that moves up and down along the rod with the liquid level changes. Inside the float, there is a set of magnetic rings. When the pulsed magnetic field encounters the magnetic field produced by the float, the magnetic field around the float changes, causing a torsional wave pulse to be generated at the position of the float using magnetostrictive material. This pulse travels back along the waveguide wire at a constant speed and is detected by the detection mechanism. By measuring the time difference between the pulse current and the torsional wave, the position of the float, and hence the liquid level, can be accurately determined. Technical advantages of the magnetostrictive liquid level gauge: Suitable for high-precision level measurement of clean liquids, with accuracy up to 0.1mm, and the new product can achieve accuracy of 0.01mm.
