Magnetic separators are used for removing iron powder and other impurities from recycled powdered particles. After the slurry flows into the trough from the ore box, the mineral particles enter the feeding area in a loose state due to the water flow from the feeding nozzle. Under the influence of the magnetic field, magnetic particles aggregate to form "magnetic clusters" or "magnetic chains." These clusters or chains are attracted towards the magnetic poles in the slurry and adhere to the cylinder. Since the poles alternate in polarity along the rotating direction of the cylinder and remain stationary during operation, the clusters or chains experience magnetic stirring as the cylinder rotates, causing non-magnetic minerals like gangue to detach and fall off. The magnetic clusters or chains stuck to the cylinder surface are the concentrate. Magnetic separators are widely used in resource recovery, the timber industry, mining, ceramics, chemicals, food processing, and other workshops. They are suitable for wet magnetic separation of materials like magnetite, pyrrhotite, sintered ore, ilmenite, and others with particle sizes of 3mm or less. They are also used for de-ironing operations in coal, non-metallic minerals, construction materials, and other materials, making them one of the widely used, versatile machines in the industry.
