Course Description:

The AIAG/VDA FMEA (First Edition) draft was released in November 2019. This course is based on the FMEA First Edition (draft). The new AIAG/VDA FMEA (First Edition) will add new steps to the VDA FMEA five-step method: Define Scope, using a six-step approach; and adopt the "Step Method" instead of the original "Worksheet Method."

This training primarily covers the FMEA Change Points and the PFMEA section. For DFMEA training, please join our next session.

Training Fees:

$128 per person (inclusive of course fee, handouts, certificate, lunch, invoice; a prepayment of $100 via "Interact Club" registration, the remaining balance to be paid on-site)


Course Objective:

  • Understand the changes in the new version, grasp the main approach of the new FMEA

  • Learn the seven-step FMEA method, mastering concepts such as scope definition, structural analysis, functional analysis, failure analysis, risk analysis, and optimization.

  • Understand the SOD scoring method in PFMEA, and grasp the differences between the new AP (Action Optimization Level) and RPN.

  • Learn to use the new FMEA worksheet
