The new version of APQP was released in 2024. The main changes in the new APQP manual are:

Emphasize the importance of continuously reviewing and applying lessons learned and best practices.

2. Remove control plan content and become a separate file.

3. New "Procurement" chapter and "Procurement Checklist" added, requiring the use of the "High-Risk Supplier Assessment" method.

4. Evaluation, planning, and assessment of new production capacity (contractual production quota).

5. Added "Change Management" chapter and "Change Management Checklist."

6. Added a section on "APQP Plan Indicators," which requires managing the effectiveness of plan tasks and stages through appropriate indicators.

7. Added a "Risk Assessment Mitigation Plan" section, aimed at continuously analyzing and addressing risks to identify improvement opportunities and mitigation measures.

8. Added "Parts Traceability" content.

9. Revise the Performance Review Checklist for Improved Task Completion.
