Bentonite Waterproof Mat

Geotextile waterproofing mats are specialized geomembranes used for artificial lakes, landfill sites, underground parking garages, rooftop gardens, ponds, oil storage facilities, and chemical storage yards to prevent leakage. They are made by filling high-expansive sodium bentonite between a custom composite geotextile and nonwoven fabric, and the needled bentonite waterproof pads can create numerous small fiber spaces, preventing the bentonite particles from flowing in one direction. When in contact with water, these pads form a uniform, high-density gel-like waterproof layer within, effectively preventing water leakage. Bentonite waterproofing mats can be categorized by production process into: needled sodium bentonite waterproof mats, needled coated sodium bentonite waterproof mats, and adhesive sodium bentonite waterproof mats. The needled coated sodium bentonite waterproof mat is a type that has a high-density polyethylene geotextile film laminated to the nonwoven geotextile surface of the needled sodium bentonite waterproof mat.
