I. Overview
Measures the hoop stiffness of thermoplastic pipes with circular cross-sections. Also applicable to flat tests, hoop flexibility tests, and weld tensile tests, among others. Meets the testing standards for PE double-wall corrugated pipes, spiral-wound pipes, and various plastic pipe materials. It is an essential testing instrument for scientific research institutions, quality inspection departments, and pipe manufacturers.
PC-controlled software for displaying test force, peak force, beam displacement, deformation, and test curves on the screen, with intuitive and simple operation. It features overload, overcurrent, and overvoltage protection functions, and is equipped with a pipe inner diameter measurement system for accurate measurement of inner diameter changes. The transmission system controls a full digital AC servo motor through a distributed control system composed of a PC and a microcontroller, moving the middle beam up and down at speeds required by the test standards. Pressure is applied to the pipe specimen through the specimen pressure plate, and the force detection section uses a segmented linear correction method to ensure high precision and stability. This series of hoop stiffness testers has passed the EU product CE certification.
2. Operating Principle
According to the standard "Determination of Ring Stiffness of Thermoplastic Pipe Materials": The ring stiffness is determined by the force and deformation measured during the constant-speed deformation of the pipe material. Place the pipe material specimen horizontally, determine the compression speed of the flat plate based on the diameter of the pipe material, and apply pressure to the specimen from two parallel flat plates in a vertical direction. Calculate the ring stiffness using the force when the deformation in the cross-sectional diameter direction of the pipe material specimen is 0.03di (di is the inner diameter of the pipe material specimen).
