During the continuous operation of extruder screws, their internal components inevitably suffer wear, which directly leads to a decrease in production efficiency. In response to this undesirable phenomenon, the relevant industry has proposed that maintenance and care for extruder screws be carried out. What are the contents of this maintenance and care? After the extrusion screw goes into production, due to long-term exposure to dynamic loads and contact with corrosive gases and molten material erosion, some transmission parts and the operating functions and production power of the screw barrel will gradually change, showing a slight decrease. Emphasis is placed on the regular maintenance and care of the equipment during normal operations, with the intention of extending the service life of the equipment. This ensures that the operating functions and production power can remain in a normal state for a longer period. This, in turn, ensures the stable and continuous growth of the company's economic benefits.

Extruder maintenance is divided into daily maintenance and scheduled maintenance. The tasks for the daily maintenance of the extruder involve the operational procedures and guidelines, as well as safety precautions during the production operation. It is mandatory for operators to strictly adhere to these instructions. (Note: Operators should base their actions on the working principle of the extruder screw.)

Scheduling regular maintenance for the extruder should be tailored to the extruder's load and operating hours. Generally, maintenance should be conducted every six months or a year. During maintenance, the work is performed in collaboration between repair fitters and equipment operators, covering the following tasks:

Clean and wipe away oil stains from all parts of the extruder and dust from the electrical control box.

② Disassemble the gear transmission reducer and bearing cover to inspect the wear condition of each transmission component; observe the quality changes of the lubricating oil and replenish the oil promptly; if there is a significant amount of debris in the oil, filter or replace it as necessary.

Record the actual dimensions of the working surface of the cylinder and screw (the inner diameter of the cylinder and the outer diameter of the screw).

Adjust and test all safety alarm equipment to ensure their operational reliability and accuracy.

Inspect and test various fluid lines (water, gas, and lubricating oil) for smooth flow, and repair and clear any leakage or blockage areas.

Inspect and test the integrity of the connections between various power transmission lines, as well as the robustness of the safety grounding protection for the electrical control cabinets and equipment.

Review and test the operating positions of heating equipment, cooling fans, and safety shields to ensure they are correct, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the extruder screw operates properly and efficiently.
