Structural type:

Molecular Weight: 393.6 g/mol
Application Scope:
TINUVIN 571 is suitable for thermoplastic polyurethane, coatings, homogeneous foam plastics, rigid and plasticized PVC, PVB, PMMA, PC, PVDC, EVOH, EVA, thermosetting unsaturated polyester, non-colored formulations for PA fibers, and spinning oils for PA, PET, PUR, and PP fibers. The product is also applicable to latex, paraffin wax, adhesives, monomers or copolymers, elastomers, and polyolefins.
Featured Effects:
TINUVIN 571 liquid UV absorber has high solubility in many solvents, monomers, or intermediates and is easily emulsified in water-based adhesives. This product is also suitable for polymerization reactions and PC, PVC sheet materials.
TINUVIN571 has high compatibility with a wide range of bases, maintaining low volatility even at high temperatures. It strongly absorbs ultraviolet light, effectively preventing the base material from yellowing.
Product Shape: Appearance - Transparent yellow mucilage
Instructions for Use:
TINUVIN571 recommended dosage is 0.2% to 5.0%, depending on the base material and product application requirements. In polyurethane, the recommended dosage is 0.2% to 0.5% based on the base material, processing conditions, and requirements for long-lasting light stability. For PVC, it's 0.3% to 0.5%, and up to 5% in copolymer PVC. In adhesives, the recommended dosage is 0.5% to 1.0%. TINUVIN571 can be blended with other additives, such as phenolic antioxidants, synergists (phosphites, thioethers), UV absorbers, and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS). The combination with hindered amine light stabilizer TINUVIN765 and antioxidant IRGANOX1135 (TINUVIN B75) yields excellent performance. Various data are available for the application of TINUVIN571 alone or in combination with other additives.
Physical Properties:

Absorption Spectrum (10mg/L Chloroform Solution)

TINUVIN571 exhibits strong absorption within the 300-400nm UV range and very low absorption in the visible region above 400nm. Its chloroform solution shows a *** major absorption peak at 303nm and 343nm (e=14210 l/mol.cm).
