Whether it's a repaired chiller, a newly installed one, or one that has passed the air load trial operation of the compressor, the entire system of the chiller must be purged and drained to remove debris such as slag, sand, and iron shavings from the internal refrigeration system.

Commonly used air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, or screw chillers, although the units differ, the operating methods are generally similar. The specific requirements and steps are as follows:

1. Use clean compressed air or nitrogen at a pressure of 0.6 Mpa (gauge pressure) for blow cleaning, with a minimum of 3 cycles. During the cleaning process, test at the drain outlet with a white paper until the emitted gas is free of moisture, oil, rust, and other debris. If any obvious gas leakage points are found in the piping or valves, repair them promptly with welding and ensure the valve flanges are tightly secured.

2. After system drain for air-cooled chillers or water-cooled chillers, remember to disassemble and clean all valves in the system (except the safety valve) to maintain cleanliness. If there is damage to the valve core or sealing wire of any valve, repair or replacement should be done promptly.

In addition to the system flushing for the entire chiller, we also conduct airtightness tests, vacuum tests, and leak tests for refrigerant charging, among other operational procedures.
