In recent years, the application of industrial chillers has gradually become widespread, especially in the industrial production sector. There are many users of industrial chillers, but Starde has found that many consumers are not clear about which type of refrigeration unit to use in their own production process. Due to many clients' limited understanding of equipment selection in the refrigeration industry and difficulties in describing the equipment that needs to be cooled, when purchasing industrial chillers, clients should choose the right type to achieve the best cooling effect with the least investment for maximum benefits!

1. Energy-saving water-cooled chillers, which can be further categorized into open type, sealed type (also known as cabinet type), and screw type. All energy-saving water-cooled chillers require the installation of a cooling tower, pump, and auxiliary piping. Some customers, located on high floors or with cooling workshops too far from the rooftop, are not suitable for energy-saving water-cooled chiller units.

2. Energy-saving air-cooled chillers are equipped with an insulated water tank and pump within the unit, eliminating the need for an additional cooling tower for heat dissipation. They are highly convenient for installation and relocation, though they demand a very high standard of working environment. Due to the use of air circulation for cooling, poor ventilation in the installation workshop can directly affect the chilling performance of the chiller. Moreover, if you plan to place the chiller in a dust-free workshop with humidity requirements, Stardeco recommends re-installing a water-cooled chiller, as the air-cooled type sprays water for heat dissipation at the top of the chiller.

3. Energy-saving open-type chillers require an additional water tank; the machine itself has an internal water tank. Open types are typically installed outdoors in a workshop for easy maintenance. However, for chillers above 80HP, we recommend using screw-type chillers.

4. Energy-saving explosion-proof chilled water units, commonly used in flammable and explosive workshops such as grinding and chemical plants.
