If categorized by cable type, communication cables are classified as follows:

Single-core wire: Refers to the original communication cable, a single-core wire circuit, with the earth serving as the return path.

2. Symmetrical Cable: Consists of a loop formed by two conductors that are perfectly identical under ideal conditions.

3. Coaxial Cable: Consists of two conductors, an inner and an outer, forming a loop on the same axis. The outer conductor encloses the inner conductor while both are insulated.
