    How to Maintain an Asphalt Mixing Plant Burner

    Burners, as a critical component for drying and heating stone materials, have garnered widespread attention from users. With the current market featuring a variety of fuel types, inconsistent quality standards, and complex fuel sources, the proper functioning of burners is a fundamental requirement for users. So, how can one adjust them to an optimal state? Pay attention to the following key issues during routine inspections and maintenance.

    Pressure Regulator Valve

    Regularly inspect the fuel pressure regulator or pressure relief valve, ensuring that the locking nut on the adjustable bolt is clean and removable. If the screw or nut surface is excessively dirty or rusted, repair or replacement of the regulator is required.

    Oil Pump

    Regularly inspect the oil pump to ensure that the sealing devices are intact and the internal pressure is stable. Replace any damaged or leaking seals. When using heated oil, check that all oil pipes are well-insulated.

    Filter

    Filters installed between the oil tank and oil pumps must be regularly cleaned and inspected for excessive wear to ensure smooth fuel flow from the tank to the pump and reduce the likelihood of component failure; the "Y" type filters on the burner should be cleaned frequently, especially when using heavy oil or sludge oil, to prevent nozzle and valve clogging; while in operation, check the pressure gauge on the burner to ensure it is within the normal range.

    Pressure Vessel

    Burner requiring compressed air should have the pressure device checked for the necessary pressure within the burner, and all filters on the supply line should be cleaned and the pipeline inspected for leaks.

    Blower

    Ensure the correct installation of the entry protection device on the combustion, atomizing air blower, and check for any damage or leaks in the blower housing; observe the blade operation, adjust the blades to eliminate excessive noise or vibration; for belt-driven blowers, lubricate the bearings regularly and tension the belt to ensure the blower produces the rated pressure; clean and lubricate the air valve connections, ensure smooth operation, and replace parts if there are obstacles; measure if the air pressure meets the working requirements, as low air pressure can cause backfire, overheating the guide plates and the burning zone at the drum front, while high air pressure can lead to excessive current, high baghouse temperatures, and even burning.

    Fuel Injector

    Nochsen Nozzles recommends regular cleaning and inspection of the spark gap of the ignition electrode (approximately 3mm).

    Flame Detector

    Regularly clean the flame detectors (electric eyes) to ensure they are properly installed and the temperature is appropriate. Misalignment or excessive heat can cause unstable photoelectric signals, even leading to a fire failure.
