详情描述
Worm-shaped graphite, also known as worm graphite, is a product of expanded graphite after expansion. It is obtained by intercalating, washing, drying, and then subjecting natural flake graphite to high-temperature expansion, resulting in a loose and porous worm-like material. In addition to the inherent properties of natural graphite, such as resistance to cold and heat, corrosion, and self-lubrication, worm graphite also possesses some characteristics not found in natural graphite, including flexibility, compressive resilience, adsorption, environmental compatibility, biocompatibility, and radiation resistance.
Expanding graphite can instantaneously expand in volume at high temperatures, transforming from flake-like to vermiform, with a loose and porous structure, increased surface area, and enhanced surface energy. The vermiform graphite can self-interlock, thereby increasing its flexibility, resilience, and plasticity.
