详情描述
Worm-shaped graphite, also known as worm graphite, is a product obtained after the expansion of expanded graphite. It is a loose, porous worm-like substance derived from natural flake graphite through intercalation, water washing, drying, and high-temperature expansion. In addition to the inherent properties of natural graphite, such as heat and cold resistance, corrosion resistance, and self-lubrication, worm graphite also possesses some characteristics not found in natural graphite, including flexibility, compressive resilience, adsorption, ecological compatibility, biocompatibility, and radiation resistance.
Expanding graphite can instantly expand in volume at high temperatures, transforming from a sheet-like to a worm-like structure. It becomes loosely porous with an increased surface area and surface energy, and its adsorption capability for flake graphite is enhanced. The worm-like graphite pieces can self-interlock, thereby increasing its flexibility, resilience, and plasticity.
