Grinding wheels must be inspected before use.Megohmmeters above 500 volts measure its insulation resistance, the value being no less than0.5Megaohm. 

2. Prior to use, the abrasive wheel machine should be thoroughly inspected for any damage or cracks in the parts due to transportation, and whether the fasteners are loose. Any issues should be repaired and tightened. Pay special attention to cracks in the abrasive wheel. A light tap with a wooden mallet should produce a clear, crisp sound before use. 

3. Before use, the grinding wheel machine should be manually rotated to check for smooth operation and listen for any rubbing sounds.
