Invited speakers offered insights and discussions on promoting the quality of metrological instruments. Representatives from PuXian General Instrument Co., Ltd. and Beijing Kangshi Instrument Technology Co., Ltd. spoke, each addressing their respective company's circumstances. The macroscopic size of particles is typically defined between 1nm and 1mm. Although small, particles are ubiquitous, widely present in nature, existing in solid, gaseous, or liquid forms. The physical and chemical properties of particles, such as size, quantity, and composition, can affect the entire system's characteristics. The field of particle-related studies spans across disciplines like science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine, composed of a vast array of fundamental sciences and numerous related applied technologies. Particle research includes testing and characterization, preparation, dispersion, surface modification, and applications of particles (including ultra-micron and nanometer particles), as well as fluidization and its applications in gas-solid, liquid-solid, and gas-liquid-solid systems, multiphase separation, and aerosols. Work related to particles involves numerous industries, such as energy, construction materials, light industry, metallurgy, electronics, aerospace, food and beverage, meteorology, chemical industry, environmental protection, and petroleum. The development of these industries has driven the metrological work related to particles towards standardization, formalization, and scaling. This has increasingly drawn attention. In March 2013, the "Annual Plan for Metrological Development" explicitly proposed "building a service system for industrial metrological testing," incorporating industrial metrology into the development plan. Against this backdrop, the metrology of the particle industry has emerged, expanding the scope of traditional metrological testing and calibration services for particle analytical instruments to cover the entire lifecycle and the entire industrial chain of particle products, from research and design to production and use. This restructures the domain and coordinates of particle metrological work, achieving a breakthrough development in supporting particle metrology from the micro to the macro.

When applying for intermediate or senior levels, the years of service may be relaxed by one year based on the current evaluation criteria or technical qualification requirements, as stipulated in the "Implementation Plan for the Evaluation and Professional Qualification Recognition of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area" (Guangdong HR Department Regulation No. 38 [2019]). Talents from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan working in the mainland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area may apply for evaluation and recognition of all qualifications in our province on a voluntary basis. At the time of application, foreign language proficiency, computer application skills, and continuing education are not required. Their technical work experience during their employment in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, or abroad will be recognized as valid work experience. Achievements, published works, and other accomplishments can be considered as valid achievements and academic results. Talents from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan who have obtained a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree may apply for evaluation and recognition after having worked in the relevant technical field for 10, 7, and 2 years respectively.
