Through-Wall Screw for Pulling

To save steel, a new type of waterstop screw has emerged in the market, transitioning from a single-piece structure to a three-piece design, also known as the three-piece tension waterstop screw.

The three-section clamp waterstop screw is composed of a central screw rod connecting two symmetrical end screw rods. The central screw rod is equipped with a waterstop plate and two stoppers, while the end screw rods have a threaded fastening and are fitted with nuts. Both ends of the central screw rod have external threads for connection, and one end of the end screw rod has an internal thread that matches the external thread of the central screw rod. The connection between the central and end screw rods is fitted with a tubular washer, with a sleeve at the center. One end face of the tubular washer has a circular arrangement of radial posts, with gaps between each post. The washer end face features a material-saving hole. The waterstop screw, assembled in segments from the central and end screw rods, is used for concrete formwork construction like a standard waterstop screw, without altering the existing construction process, making it easy to promote and apply. After the concrete pouring is complete and the formwork is removed, the end screw rods can be removed from the embedded central screw rod in the wall for recycling. The recycled end screw rods, when paired with new central screw rods, can be reused.

When casting concrete for the underground foundation walls or columns, secure the molds to prevent bursting. This is because this rod goes through the wall, and water can easily seep in along the bolt. Therefore, a square steel plate is welded in the middle of the bolt, called a waterstop plate, to increase the water penetration path and provide some waterstop effect.

The traditional waterstop screw consists of three parts: the screw, a plate for controlling the wall thickness, and a waterstop plate.

Two-section and three-section waterstop screw assembly:

1. The middle piece is a waterproof draw-in internal support, used to control the wall thickness, which is consistent with the size of the internal support.

2. Both ends have plastic plug caps with ribs for use as molds.

3. The screw connecting the ends of the tension rod is a swivel screw, which can be easily assembled and disassembled. It can be used with any tension rod size in the middle.
