Evergreen shrub or small tree. Dark gray or light gray-brown bark, with many branches. Young branches are reddish-brown, densely covered with star-shaped hairs. Leaves are leathery, alternate, ovate or elliptical, 2-5 cm long, with a short尖tip, rounded and oblique base, asymmetrical, both surfaces with star-shaped hairs, entire margin, dark red on the upper surface, slightly gray on the back.
