Fire Door Applications

Fire-resistant roller shutters, like fire walls, serve the purpose of horizontal fire separation. They consist of 13 components, including curtain panels, seat boards, guides, supports, roller shafts, enclosures, control cabinets, roller door motors, limit switches, lintels, manual rapid release switches, push-button switches, and safety devices. Typically installed in areas where fire walls are impractical, such as open elevator lobbies, automatic escalators, large retail spaces in department stores, exhibition halls in exhibition buildings, and openings in buildings that are too large for fire doors. In construction projects, fire-resistant roller shutters have greatly expanded the application of fire separation.

Fire-rated roller shutters are an indispensable fire protection facility in modern high-rise buildings. In addition to the functions of a regular door, fire doors have special features such as fire prevention, smoke control, mitigating the spread of fires, and protecting the evacuation of personnel, and are widely used in high-rise buildings, large shopping malls, and other crowded areas.

Installation Requirements and Usage Instructions for Fire Shutters

The top of the opening for installing roller shutters must not have ventilation pipes or water pipes.

2. After the roller shutter is installed, proceed with the ceiling installation. Ensure the ceiling edge is 50mm away from the shutter panel to prevent friction.

During testing and operation, it is strictly prohibited to have personnel standing at the bottom. Electrical equipment must not be disassembled or moved without authorization.

4. According to fire safety regulations, it is imperative not to miss inspecting the chain lubricant for the starting motor during routine fire safety checks. This is a crucial aspect often overlooked by many property management units or fire departments during inspections.
