JD-05S Type Flip Bucket Rain Gauge 1 Overview 3.2 Resolution: 0.5mm
![]()
This instrument is a single-measurement precipitation gauge, meeting the national standards GB/T11832-2002 "Bucket Type Rain Gauge" and GB/T11831-2002 "Hydrological Reporting and Telemetry Rain Gauge."
The core component of this instrument, the flip bucket, features a three-dimensional streamlined design, which ensures smoother water flipping and boasts self-cleaning dust and easy cleaning capabilities.
2. Construction, Features
This instrument's bucket is designed with a three-dimensional streamlined shape and features a downward-curved aeration tip, which offers an aesthetically pleasing and smooth appearance, improved water flipping performance, and ease of cleaning and maintenance.
The water intake funnel of this instrument is tightly mounted with the flip bucket bracket, usually no need to remove the water intake funnel.
The waterway components of this instrument, including the siphon, flip bucket, and drain funnel, are made from high-quality, transparent imported materials, making the observation of the instrument's dynamic working process much clearer.
The instrument is equipped with two permanent magnets on its bucket, and two reed switches are mounted on the reed switch bracket. The permanent magnets and reed switches are adjusted to an appropriate coupling distance upon the instrument's manufacture, ensuring a definite proportional relationship between the instrument's output signal and the number of bucket flips. One of the two signal outputs is used for on-site counting and measurement, while the other is for remote signaling. When connecting this instrument to a remote telemetry terminal, a matching interface circuit should be provided to prevent counting and signaling errors caused by reed switch flutter and bucket bounceback.
This equipment is factory-set with the bucket tilt adjustment screw locked at the optimal tilt base point, and the tilt screw is painted with a dot of red paint for sealing. When installing the equipment on-site, simply follow the instructions to place the bucket into the two sleeves on the bucket bracket and adjust the bracket to level, ensuring the level bubble is centered. The bucket tilt does not require further adjustment on-site.
