JFZ-01 Digital Rain Gauge
This instrument conforms to the People's Republic of China's Hydropower and Water Conservancy Industry Standard SL21-1990 "Observation Specification for Precipitation" for "Long-term Self-Recording Rain Gauges" and the China Meteorological Administration's 2003 edition "Ground Meteorological Observation Specification" for "Automatic Rainfall Stations."
This instrument fully implements digital and intelligent sensors, data collection and storage units, and data transmission and processing units, making it the most advanced digital rain gauge currently available.
This instrument boasts superior sensitivity to rain, measurement accuracy, and applicable range of rainfall intensity compared to other types of rain gauges. It is suitable for various types of rainfall monitoring stations in China's southern regions with heavy rainfall and northern regions with dust storms.
2 Features
● High sensitivity and accuracy to rain, with a wide range of rainfall intensity adaptation.
● Installation, adjustment, and calibration methods for the instrument are simple.
● Selectable RS-485 real-time cumulative rainfall output or pulse output (0.1mm per pulse), which can be directly connected to data collectors, RTUs, computers, or other supervisory devices for high-precision automatic data collection and transmission.
● Can be built-in with solid-state storage, capable of storing at least 3000mm of rainfall data.
● Intelligent function with automatic diagnostic of instrument status.
3 Application Scope
This instrument's performance far exceeds that of existing rain gauges both internationally and domestically. It is suitable for equipping national basic rain gauges, dense automatic weather stations, and remote sensing stations under various climatic conditions across different regions. It is also ideal for locations such as airports, railways, highways, coal mines, and disaster prevention and mitigation monitoring stations that require precipitation observations. It completes automatic measurement and data collection of the precipitation process. Particularly, it is used to replace traditional paper-recorded siphon rain gauges for automatic measurement and reporting, as well as for the automatic compilation and transmission of precipitation data.

1) RS-485 interface, outputs real-time cumulative rainfall, true value of rainfall encoder, and related alarm signals (see Appendix One: JFZ-01 Digital Rain Gauge Communication Protocol V3.0 and Data Storage Format).
2) Pulsed interface, relay output contacts connect once for every 0.1mm of rainfall.
