Product Introduction

Closed-loop rubber mixer, also known as an intensive mixer, is primarily used for rubber and plastic blending. It is a mechanical device equipped with a pair of rotors of specific shapes that rotate relative to each other, and it intermittently cures and blends polymer materials in a sealed state at adjustable temperatures and pressures. It consists mainly of the closed mixing chamber, rotors, rotor sealing devices, feeding and pressing equipment, discharging devices, transmission mechanism, and base.

Operating Principle

During the operation of the compounding machine, the two rotors rotate relative to each other, gripping the material and pulling it into the gap between the rollers where it is subjected to compression and shearing. The material experiences shearing and friction, causing the rubber temperature to rise and its viscosity to decrease. This enhances the wetting of the rubber on the surface of the reinforcing agent, ensuring thorough contact between the rubber and the reinforcing agent surface. The ridges on the rotors facilitate the axial movement of the rubber, acting as a mixing tool. This ensures the reinforcing agent is evenly distributed within the rubber. The continuous stirring and shearing action of the ridges on the rotors achieve a certain degree of dispersion in the rubber.
