Engraved hot stamping differs from the traditional process of hot stamping followed by embossing. Engraved hot stamping achieves both hot stamping and the three-dimensional texture of paper in a single pressing. The advantage of this method is that it saves both time and labor costs while delivering a strikingly strong three-dimensional effect.

The embossed gold foil stamping is typically used, with the relief height within the range of the gold foil's surface tension. Products processed with the embossed gold foil technique showcase a three-dimensional relief pattern. Due to their high precision and quality requirements, they are particularly well-suited for hot foil stamping techniques. As you might imagine, designers must carefully consider the texture, weight, gold foil, and inks when selecting paper or other substrate materials for the relief gold stamping process. Alignment on both sides is also crucial. The thickness of the paper will also limit the quality and effect of the final product during the process. For instance, overly thin or low-tensile paper can lead to paper bursting issues. When selecting gold foil materials, it's important to opt for a more relaxed gold foil, especially for products with large solid gold foil areas. Otherwise, if the tension of the gold foil is not suitable, it can easily result in the foil not stamping properly.

When selecting the model of a foil stamping machine, for standard-sized raised foil, any Jiguang foil stamping machine in the full series is suitable. However, if your focus is on producing large-format full-size raised foil, we recommend choosing Jiguang's High or Deep series machines.
