In accordance with the national environmental protection policies and the need for sustainable local economic development, corresponding sewage treatment facilities are being constructed to ensure that the wastewater produced during the production process meets the national discharge standards. Under the委托 of the Beston Starch Wastewater Treatment Project Group, my Guangbo Environmental Protection Wastewater Treatment Company is responsible for the scheme design and construction of the starch wastewater treatment plant. Based on water volume and quality analysis and prediction, the plant is designed to handle 3,000 m³/day. After technical and economic comparisons of the treatment processes for starch wastewater, the IC anaerobic reactor (IC anaerobic tank) + contact oxidation process is chosen as the main treatment method for the plant; starch wastewater is biologically stable with a high COD level. After treatment by our IC anaerobic tower, it produces a large amount of granular sludge (which can be sold externally) and a significant amount of biogas (which can be reused for boiler combustion and biogas power generation), essentially achieving zero-cost operation of the starch wastewater treatment station. The wastewater station has been continuously operating for five years since its completion, and the effluent meets the emission standards specified in China's current Comprehensive Wastewater Emission Standard (GB8978-1996). Furthermore, the granular sludge and biogas generated during the starch wastewater treatment process contribute to a portion of the benefits.
