The pollutants generated during the production process mainly include wastewater from traditional Chinese medicine extraction, followed by a small amount of waste gas and noise. The company has implemented corresponding treatment measures to meet the standards for emissions. The wastewater from the traditional Chinese medicine extraction process has a heavy pollution load, containing acids and other difficultly biodegradable organic substances. The company currently has a wastewater treatment facility, but due to the increased scale of production and water volume, the existing process is no longer sufficient. Therefore, the company urgently needs to construct a larger production wastewater treatment facility. The quality and volume of the traditional Chinese medicine extraction water vary significantly, with high COD levels fluctuating between 5,000 to 20,000, and good biodegradability. Recognizing the importance of environmental protection, the company intends to adopt effective pollution prevention measures in accordance with the requirements of environmental protection units in Shandong Province. It plans to invest in wastewater treatment, with the wastewater treatment station processing 500 cubic meters of wastewater per day.

Under the authorization of the company, our unit has specially prepared the following preliminary design plan for the wastewater treatment project and estimated the investment for the project, for the review and consideration of the company's leadership and environmental protection department.
