I. Overview of Reverse Osmosis Systems

High levels of impurities are commonly found in natural water, making pre-treatment before reverse osmosis indispensable. A comprehensive pre-treatment system not only ensures long-term stable operation for subsequent equipment but also operates safely and reliably for an extended period. The choice of pre-treatment depends on the water quality and includes multimedia filters, activated carbon filters, sediment filters, softeners, iron and manganese removal filters, and disc filters, among others.

1. Multi-Media Filter

Process Features: Multi-media filter, also known as a mechanical filter, primarily retains physical impurities in water, removing suspended matter, solid particles, and some colloidal substances.

Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (with internal anti-corrosion), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with anti-corrosion material), catering to various industrial production and process requirements.

Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (including automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).

Model and Specifications: FRP specification NCHJL-B-200-1500. Filter diameter ranges from 200-1500mm.

Carbon steel, Stainless Steel SUS304, specification NCHJL-T-200-3000. Filter diameter: 200-3000mm.

2. Active Carbon Filter

Process Features: Activated carbon filters are primarily used to adsorb color, taste, residual chlorine, organic matter, and colloidal substances in water; they also serve to filter out large particle impurities. They can be equipped with pasteurization to extend the service life of activated carbon, reducing bacterial growth during the production process.

Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel (with internal anti-corrosion), and stainless steel SUS304 (lined with rubber for anti-corrosion), catering to various industry production and process requirements.

Control Methods: Manual Operation, Semi-Automatic, Fully Automatic (including automatic control valves, pneumatic valve groups, and electric valve groups, etc.).

3. Demineralizer

Process Features: The softener, also known as a sodium ion exchange unit, effectively removes Ca2+ and Mg2+ from the water during the production process, thereby reducing water hardness. This prevents the formation of carbonate scale and sulfate scale in the process, and the resin can be regenerated for reuse. The softener is suitable for softening boiler water and as a pretreatment for reverse osmosis.

4. Filter Cartridge Housing

Process Features: The filter, also known as a precision filter in the water system, is typically made of a 5µm aperture polypropylene (PP) membrane formed by meltblowing. The precision filter is a pre-treatment process before the reverse osmosis membrane, serving to prevent leaks from the previous filtration stage. Its purpose is to ensure the long-term stable operation of the reverse osmosis system.

Materials include: fiberglass, carbon steel, and stainless steel SUS304, capable of meeting the production and process requirements of various industries.

Model and Specifications: FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) specification NCHTL-B-200-1000. Filter diameter ranges from 200 to 1000mm.
