Electrochemical maintenance is divided into two main categories: anodic maintenance and cathodic maintenance, with cathodic maintenance being more commonly used. Additionally, treating the corrosive medium involves eliminating it, such as frequently cleaning metal devices, placing desiccants in precision instruments, and adding a few corrosion inhibitors that can slow down the corrosion rate to the corrosive medium.

    An additional method for rust prevention on climbing mesh structures involves connecting the metal to be maintained with the negative pole of a power source, while using a conductive material as a lazy electrode connected to the positive pole of the power source. Once powered on, the metal surface accumulates a negative charge, thereby inhibiting the loss of electrons and achieving the maintenance goal.
