    Scope of Application:

    Ready-mixed concrete, high-strength concrete, self-leveling concrete,不定形refractory materials, dry-mixed (ready-mixed) mortar, high-strength shrinkage-free grout, wear-resistant industrial flooring, patching mortar, polymer mortar, thermal insulation mortar, impermeable concrete, concrete densifier, concrete anticorrosive agent, cement-based polymer water-proofing agent; reinforcement of rubber, plastic, unsaturated polyester, paint, coatings, and other high molecular materials; modification of ceramic products, etc.

    Application Fields:

    1. For mortar and concrete applications: high-rise buildings, seaport terminals, reservoir dams, water conservancy projects, sluices, railways, highways, bridges, subways, tunnels, airport runways, concrete pavements, and reinforced anchoring for coal mine tunnels.

    2. In the materials industry:

    (1) High-performance low-cement refractory castables and precast parts, with a lifespan three times that of standard castables, offer an increased refractoriness of about 100℃ and significantly improved high-temperature strength and thermal shock resistance. They are widely used in industries such as coke ovens, ironmaking, steelmaking, rolling, non-ferrous metals, glass, ceramics, and power generation. (2) Large-scale iron troughs and ladle materials, permeable bricks, and coating repair materials.

    (3) Self-flowing refractory castable materials and wet/dry spray application.

    (4) Silicon carbide products combined with oxides (ceramic kiln ware, flame-retarding boards, etc.).

    High-temperature calcium silicate lightweight insulating material.

    (6) Corundum mullite slab for electric porcelain kiln.

    (7) High-Temperature Wear-Resistant Materials and Products.

Due to its similarity in composition to precipitated silica produced by the vapor phase process, it can be used as a filling and reinforcing agent in high polymer materials such as rubber, resins, coatings, paints, and unsaturated polyesters.

    (4) Used as an anti-caking agent in the fertilizer industry.

    How to Fold and Edit
    2. Method of blending:

    Silica fume concrete and casting materials should be mixed in accordance with the proportions determined by the laboratory. Construction should strictly adhere to these proportions. During the mixing of silica fume concrete, the silica fume should be added to the mixer immediately after the aggregates are introduced. There are two procedures for adding the silica fume:

    (1) Add aggregates first, followed by silica fume and dry mixed cement. Then, add water and other admixtures.

    (2) Mix coarse aggregate + 75% water + silica fume + 50% fine aggregate for 15-30 seconds, then add cement + admixture + 50% fine aggregate + 25% water, stirring until uniform. Increase the mixing time by 20-25% or 50-60 seconds compared to regular concrete. Do not add silica powder to mixed concrete.

    3. Construction Method:

    Silica fume concrete has no significant differences in construction methods compared to regular concrete, but good organization and vibration for compaction are essential during construction. The early strength characteristics of silica fume concrete can shorten the final setting time, so attention should be paid during finishing. Additionally, the addition of silica fume increases the viscosity of concrete and significantly reduces bleeding, making finishing slightly more challenging.

    4. Construction Safety:

    Safety in the construction of silica fume concrete should be strictly adhered to the national construction specifications for concrete projects. However, due to the light nature of silica fume, it is strictly prohibited to dump materials from heights to prevent the dust from spreading.
