The flexible coupling is assembled by bolting several stacks of stainless steel thin plates (diaphragms) alternately to the two halves of the coupling. Each stack consists of multiple sheets, which are divided into rod-type and solid-shape diaphragms. The flexible coupling compensates for the relative displacement between the connected shafts through the elastic deformation of the diaphragms. It is a metal rigid flexible coupling that does not require lubrication, featuring a compact structure, high strength, and long service life.
