    Buckling beams are generally constructed from upper and lower chords, verticals, and diagonals,焊接 together. The upper and lower chords feature male and female joints, with pins connecting the socket holes. The chords of the buckling beam are composed of two No. 10 channel steels. On the lower chord, multiple steel plates with round holes are often welded, and bolt holes are provided within the upper and lower chords to reinforce the chords and the double truss connections. Within the upper chord, there are four bolt holes for connecting support frames, with the two central holes intended for double or multiple-row truss connections, and the two end holes for inter-row connections. When used as beams or columns, multi-row buckling beams require support frames to reinforce the joint between the upper and lower sections.

    On the bottom chord, there are four cross beam pads with rebates on top, used to secure the position of the beams on the plane. At the end of the bottom chord, there are two elliptical holes on the flange of the channel steel, for connecting wind resistance rods. The vertical bars of the Bailey truss are made of 8# I-beams, with a square hole cut near the bottom chord side for fixing the beam clamps. The material of the Bailey truss is 16Mn, and each truss weighs 270kg.

    Inspect bridge deck for damage, wear, or deformation; replacement is required when necessary.

    Inspect the various pins, bolts, beam clamps, and wind-resistant tie rods of the steel tiles for proper assembly, any signs of damage, and loose conditions to ensure stable passage.

    3. Inspect the bridge deck for cracks, deformities, or irregularities, and replace as necessary.

    4. Measure the mid-span deflection of the bridge to determine if it is increasing; the rate of deflection increase should be directly proportional to the wear of the pins and pinholes.

    5. Conduct periodic inspections of the prefabricated Bailey bridge foundation for uneven settlement; if found, adjustments should be made promptly.

    6. Apply grease around the pins to prevent water from entering the gaps within the pin holes, and also grease all exposed threads of the bolts to prevent rust. Bailey plates are widely used in traffic engineering. They feature simple structure, easy transportation, high load capacity, good interchangeability, and strong adaptability.

    During maintenance, engineers should meticulously inspect all components of the steel bridge for any signs of paint peeling, rust, or deformation. For rusted areas, workers must strictly clean off dust, grease, rust spots, and various debris before applying paint, ensuring it is applied evenly and the surface is smooth. If any components show signs of deformation, they should be replaced to ensure the continued stable use of the steel bridge.
