Geosynthetic waterproofing mats are used for applications such as artificial lakes, landfill sites, underground parking garages, rooftop gardens, ponds, oil storage facilities, and chemical stockpiles to prevent leakage. These mats are made by filling a high-expansion sodium bentonite between a specialized composite geotextile and nonwoven fabric, creating a needle-punched bentonite waterproof pad. This pad forms numerous small fiber spaces, preventing the bentonite particles from flowing in one direction. When in contact with water, it forms a uniform, high-density gel-like waterproof layer within the pad, effectively preventing water leakage. Waterproof Features: Tightness Sodium-based bentonite forms a high-density diaphragm under hydrostatic pressure. At a thickness of approximately 3mm, its permeability is below &×10ˉ11m/sec, equivalent to the compactness of 100 times that of 30cm thick clay, and exhibits strong self-water-retaining properties. Waterproof properties Because sodium-based bentonite is a natural inorganic material, it does not undergo aging or corrosion even after a long time or changes in the surrounding environment, thus maintaining its waterproofing properties for a long duration. Easy construction, short lead time Compared to other waterproofing materials, installation is relatively simple and does not require heating or adhesive. Just connect and secure using bentonite powder, nails, washers, and the like. No special inspection is needed after installation, and repairs are easy if any waterproofing defects are found. GCL is the shortest in construction time among existing waterproofing materials. Not affected by temperature Will not crack under cold climate conditions. Integrated Integrated waterproofing materials and objects: When encountering water, sodium bentonite has an expansion capacity of 20-28 times, and even if concrete structures vibrate or settle, the bentonite within the GCL can repair cracks on the concrete surface up to 2mm in width. Green and eco-friendly Bentonite is a natural inorganic material, harmless and non-toxic to humans, with no significant impact on the environment, and boasts excellent environmental protection properties. Product Features High performance-to-price ratio, with a wide range of applications. The product range can reach up to 6 meters, significantly enhancing construction efficiency. Application Scope and Conditions: Suitable for landfill, water conservancy, environmental protection, artificial lake, and building underground waterproofing and seepage prevention projects. At temperatures below -20℃ where traditional waterproofing materials cannot be applied, this product can still be used; it can also be applied on damp substrates (without standing water); it is not suitable for use during rainy or snowy weather; it is not recommended for use against strong acidic or alkaline solutions; due to its inorganic nature, the bentonite-based material offers better durability than organic waterproofing materials.
