Four-fluorine board

Four-fluorine board, also known as Teflon board or PTFE board, is hailed as the "King of Plastics" due to its superior performance. Its unique chemical structure, -[-CF₂-CF₂-]ₙ-, features a carbon-fluorine bond energy of up to 485 kJ/mol, far exceeding the common C-H bond. This structural characteristic endows it with exceptional chemical stability, while its spiral molecular structure offers an ultra-low surface energy of 18.5 mN/m, naturally providing non-stick properties. Depending on the production process, four-fluorine board is mainly categorized into molded boards, machined boards, and expanded PTFE (EPTFE) boards. Molded boards are made through the molding, sintering, and cooling of PTFE resin at room temperature, with thicknesses typically ranging from 12 to 200mm; machined boards are processed by resin pressing, sintering, and then cutting, with thicknesses from 0.3 to 10mm and widths up to 2000mm; expanded PTFE boards are made from 100% PTFE through special stretching processes, offering good flexibility with a density of only about 0.8g/cm³. The core production process includes raw material preparation, molding (pressure of 17.5-35MPa, holding time of 1-10 minutes), high-temperature sintering (360-380°C, strictly controlling the heating rate and holding time), cooling and shaping, and subsequent processing, ensuring stable product performance.
