Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) grating covers offer high impact resistance, allowing for repeated bending without permanent deformation, whereas metal grating tends to retain permanent deformation upon impact, requiring correction. The GFRP grating covers have moderate elasticity, making them comfortable for workers to use, reducing the sense of tightness in their legs and back, minimizing accidents, and enhancing productivity. Visually, the GFRP anti-slip boards are made by blending pigment into the entire resin, resulting in vibrant colors that are resistant to fading and do not require painting. Unlike paint, which is limited to the surface, the smooth resin surface and the slanted internal and external surfaces of the grating provide self-cleaning properties. Even with dirt, the grating can be easily cleaned with water or detergent, keeping the GFRP grating cover surface looking as new.
The patterned fiberglass cover plates are formed by simultaneously laminating fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) flat sheets, densely bonding them with chopped strand mat and FRP pultruded grids to solidify into a single unit. The surface of the grid can be smooth, anti-slip sand finish, or anti-slip patterned finish. The standard thickness of the grid cover plate is typically 2.5mm, but can be customized according to customer specifications. These grid covers are often used in sealed areas, such as for wastewater treatment facilities, where they can prevent corrosion and control odors. The anti-slip FRP grid covers can also be used as ramps, manhole covers, and trench covers. During installation, the cover plates can be securely fastened to supporting structures using countersunk screws for enhanced safety.
