Material Features

Hollow board, hollow polycarbonate sheet, hollow polycarbonate panel, honeycomb polycarbonate sheet, U-lock polycarbonate sheet, single/double hook polycarbonate sheet, and polycarbonate sheet. PC polycarbonate sheets are made primarily from polycarbonate. These sheets rapidly entered the architectural decoration materials market in the mid-1980s. They offer superior properties such as light weight, weather resistance, flame retardancy, and sound insulation compared to laminated glass, wired glass, tempered glass, and hollow glass, due to the high quality of the polycarbonate. They are widely recognized in architectural design, decoration engineering, environmental engineering, and the advertising industry.

Product Features

(1) Transparency: The PC sunshade panel has a high light transmittance of up to 89%, comparable to glass. The UV-coated panel does not turn yellow, fog up, or lose light quality under sunlight, with only a 10% light loss after ten years, compared to a high PVC loss rate of 15%-20% and glass fiber loss rate of 12%-20%.

(2) Impact Resistance: The impact strength is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of the same thickness of acrylic plate, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. It can withstand a two-meter fall with a 3kg hammer without cracking, earning it the nicknames of "Unbreakable Glass" and "Echoing Steel."

(3) UV Protection: One side of the PC sheet is co-extruded with an anti-UV (UV) coating, while the other side features anti-condensation treatment. It combines anti-UV, heat-insulating, and anti-dewdrop functions. It can block UV rays from passing through, and is suitable for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits, preventing them from being damaged by UV rays.

(4) Lightweight: Half the weight of glass, saving costs for transportation, handling, installation, and support frames.

(5) Flame Retardant: According to the National Standard GB8624-2006, PC Sunboard is classified as flame-retardant B grade. The self-ignition temperature of PC board is 580°C, it will self-extinguish after being removed from the fire source, and will not produce toxic gases or contribute to the spread of fire.

(6) Bendability: Cold bending on-site according to design drawings is possible to form arches, semi-circular roofs, and windows. The minimum bending radius is 175 times the thickness of the panel, and hot bending is also an option.

(7) Sound Insulation: PC Sunboard offers superior sound insulation, outperforming glass and acrylic panels of the same thickness in terms of sound insulation properties under the same thickness conditions.
