Product Overview

With the development of the power system, the capacity of operating equipment has increased significantly, such as thermal power generation units, with individual capacities exceeding 1000MW, and hydroelectric generating units, with individual capacities reaching 800MW. For the AC power frequency withstand tests of these equipment, using traditional testing equipment (i.e., power frequency test transformers) is cumbersome due to the large capacity required for the tests, making the transformers and voltage regulators quite heavy. It's also challenging to find a large-capacity test power source on-site, and field testing is not convenient. The power frequency resonance device offers significant advantages in terms of test power source capacity, equipment weight, test waveforms, and investment.

The TPXB-E adjustable-tensioning frequency-series resonance withstand voltage device is primarily designed and manufactured for AC withstand tests of hydroelectric generators with single-unit capacity of 250MW or less.

Product Features

1. Due to resonant reactive power compensation, the power of the power supply and equipment is only 1/10th or less (1/Q10) of the tested item's capacity. The same capacity is smaller in volume and lighter in weight, with a larger output capacity and a smaller required power supply capacity, making it cost-effective, easy to operate, and safe.

2. Series resonant actually forms a current filtering circuit, ensuring that the current passing through the tested item is predominantly the fundamental frequency current. The output voltage waveform distortion rate (THD) is lower, outperforming all existing types of AC voltage withstand equipment.

3. Short-circuit current after flashover or breakdown is less than 1/10 (1/Q) of the test current before short-circuit, which can effectively prevent the damage to the fault point from expanding after breakdown.

4. The process of voltage restoration to establish resonance after immediate automatic arc quenching following flashover is a stable state establishment process, which is free from concerns of voltage overshoot and the danger of recovery overvoltage from microsecond to millisecond transient processes.
