The EDXS-5 Liquid Phase Rust Auto-Determination Instrument is a testing device designed and manufactured according to GB/T11183-89 "Test Method for Rust-Preventing Properties of Additive Mineral Oils in the Presence of Water." The testing principle involves mixing 300ml of the sample with 30ml of distilled water or synthetic seawater, fully immersing a cylindrical test steel rod in the mixture, and stirring at 60℃. The typical test duration is 24 hours, but it can be adjusted to be longer or shorter according to the requirements of both parties in the contract. After the test period, the traces and extent of rust on the steel rod are assessed.
