The EDZX Load Break Switch Online Filtration Device is a product independently designed and developed by Wuhan鄂电Electric Power Test Equipment Co., Ltd., featuring proprietary intellectual property rights.

The EDZX on-load switch online filter device is mainly used for the circulating filtration of insulating oil in on-load tap-changers of transformers with 35KV and above.

The EDZX loaded switch online filter is currently operating seamlessly in multiple substation sites domestically and internationally.

The EDZX on-load switch online filter unit can effectively remove free carbon and metal particles from the oil inside the tap changer, as well as reduce trace moisture, ensuring the breakdown voltage and service life of the oil. This effectively enhances the safety and reliability of the on-load tap changer's operation.

Thus, reducing the frequency of power outage maintenance and extending the maintenance cycle.

Equipment Usage

The EDZX on-line filter unit for loaded switches is primarily used for bypass circulating filtration of insulating oil in tap-changer switches of transformers ranging from 35KV to 500KV. It is designed to be used with tap-changer switches and can effectively remove free carbon, metal particles, impurities, and other particulate matter from the insulating oil within the tap-changer switches, while also absorbing a large amount of organic acids and reducing trace moisture. This significantly reduces the content of free carbon, metal particles, impurities, organic acids, and moisture in the insulating oil within the tap-changer switches, enhancing the breakdown voltage and service life of the insulating oil. It helps to bring the insulating oil within the tap-changer switches to or near the standard of new insulating oil, improving the safety and reliability of the loaded tap-changer switches. It also increases the number of operations of the tap-changer switches, reduces the frequency of power outages, extends the maintenance cycle of equipment, improves the quality of power supply, enables condition-based maintenance of equipment, enhances the safety and operational standards of the power grid, reduces resource waste and environmental pollution, and improves the economic benefits and management level of the enterprise.

 

Product Features

Integrated oil system

The EDZX loaded switch online filter's all components are fully integrated within the CNC-molded precision oil circuit. The structure is compact, with no internal piping connections, minimizing sealing points, and all main sealing points are designed with double-sealing. Stainless steel flanged hoses are directly connected to the transformer's loaded tap-changer oil inlets and outlets for convenience and reliability.

 

High-purity secondary separation filtration

EDZX's online filter device for loaded switches features a two-stage separation filtration design. The primary stage uses a 1μm filter core to remove free carbon and other metallic particle impurities. The secondary filter core is equipped with high-performance active adsorption material, which can remove moisture, organic acids, and other substances, maintaining the insulating oil's excellent pressure resistance characteristics.

 

All-digital control

EDZX's online filter device for loaded switches utilizes a high-performance embedded dedicated digital controller. It features unique control algorithms, strong electromagnetic interference resistance design, and stable and reliable operation.

 

Simple and intuitive user interface

EDZX loaded switch online filter device features a liquid crystal display, Chinese menu, convenient common function keys, user-friendly human-machine dialogue, intuitive interface, no need to memorize, and simple operation.

 

Loop overflow and pressure detection multi-protection

EDZX's online filter device for loaded switches is equipped with an overflow valve and pressure detection limiting function; when the outlet pressure exceeds the opening pressure of the overflow valve, oil circulates internally through the overflow valve. If the overflow valve fails, the pressure detection can still act as a limiting protection to stop the motor and safeguard the system. The pump's suction port is fitted with a pressure sensor to prevent the motor from starting when the inlet valve is not open, thus avoiding damage to the oil pump.

 

Smart Temperature and Humidity Control

The EDZX loaded switch online filtration unit automatically heats or cools when the temperature is below or above the set value (suitable temperature setting 0~40℃), ensuring reliable oil filtration in various severe temperature and humidity environmental conditions, thereby achieving a 24/7 unattended monitoring and operation mode.

 

Gas Online Venting

The EDZX loaded switch online filter device allows inspection personnel to directly exhaust the gas inside the tap changer by utilizing the on-line venting mechanism of the filter oil system during equipment inspections.

 

Online oil replenishment technology

When the oil level in a loaded switch drops due to prolonged operation, qualified insulation oil of the same type can be replenished into the loaded tap-changer body through the lubrication mechanism of the filter oil system itself.

 

Visual Window Observation Feature

EDZX's loaded switch online filter device features a visual window before and after oil filtration, allowing inspection personnel to observe the quality of the oil before and after filtration while inspecting the equipment.

 

Automatic alarm interlock function

EDZX loaded switch online filter device features self-diagnosis and maintenance alarm functions. When an alarm is displayed, the system automatically locks out and cannot be started. It will automatically resume normal operation after the fault is cleared. In case of filter element clogging, staff must clean or replace it before the system oil filter can be started.

 

Power failure memory retention function

The EDZX loaded switch online filter device can automatically save and remember the set parameters and operating data during power failure.

 

Based on the customer's on-site conditions, designs are available for both freestanding and wall-mounted options.
