4. Schematic Diagram of Operation and Names of Each Part

The coalescing separator is internally equipped with two functionally different filter cores—a coalescing core and a separating core. The medium to be dehydrated enters the shell through the coalescing separator inlet and is distributed to each coalescing core by the coalescing core tray. The liquid flows from the inside to the outside of the coalescing core, undergoing four processes: filtration, demulsification, coalescence, and sedimentation. It breaks the emulsified liquid, then coalesces the small droplets into larger ones, which settle at the bottom of the shell. Some of the smaller droplets that haven't settled yet flow with the liquid towards the separating core. The separating core, made of special materials, possesses excellent hydrophobic properties, effectively intercepting the small droplets outside the core and coalescing them into larger ones that settle. This ensures the effective removal of moisture. The moisture that settles at the bottom of the shell is indicated by the liquid level gauge, allowing for regular or irregular draining of moisture and impurities through the drain valve. The medium separated from moisture is collected by the separating core tray and exits the separator through the outlet.

Section 2: ZFV Series Gas Coalescer

1. Overview

The ZFV series vertical gas coalescer is designed to remove liquid entrained in gas flow. Microscopic droplets (0.3-10 micrometers) coalesce into larger droplets (>10 micrometers) under the action of the high-efficiency coalescing filter core, which are then discharged on the outer surface of the filter core. Larger droplets (>10 micrometers) do not pass through the coalescing filter core and are collected on the inner surface of the filter core under gravity, flowing directly into the drain pipe below the filter core.

The ZFV series vertical gas coalescer boasts a 99.99% coalescence efficiency for droplets larger than 0.3 micrometers.

The ZFV series vertical gas coalescer is an ideal dehydration method, used for product recovery, collection, catalyst retention, and corrosion-liquid removal to protect compressors and subsequent equipment.

The ZFV series vertical gas coalescer utilizes a coalescing filter element specially designed to remove tiny droplets from the gas flow. Made of microfibers, this filter element boasts high efficiency, and its unique structure allows for the removal of 99.99% of droplets larger than 0.3 micrometers.

The coalescing filter cores are available in different precision grades, catering to various operational conditions and maximizing the service life of the filter cores. Materials for coalescing filter cores can include glass fiber, polypropylene, polyester, and composite materials.

2. Application Fields

Remove condensate from gas transmission

● Upstream of compressors and gas turbines, remove liquids and solid particles from the gas to prevent damage to expensive equipment

● Oil mist separator for removing compressor lubricating oil from the gas downstream of the compressor

Upstream of the gas metering station to ensure measurement accuracy

● Used in gas, to prevent damage to the compressor
