Introduction to Steel Grating
Steel grating, also known as steel grating panel or grating board, is made by welding flat steel and twisted steel. Durable and cost-effective compared to other products, it is primarily used in power plant platforms, parking lots, maintenance platforms, trench covers, and step plates. It is also used in environmental protection equipment and wastewater treatment. Steel grating is widely applied in various fields such as petrochemicals, electricity, water supply, wastewater treatment, port terminals, architectural decoration, shipbuilding, self-propelled parking lots, municipal engineering, and environmental sanitation projects, covering platforms, walkways, bridges, covers, manholes, ladders, fences, and more.
Steel Grating Plates
Also known as steel grating or grid plate, it is a type of steel product made by crossing flat steel bars at specific intervals with crossbars, then welded into a square-grid pattern. Primarily used for drain covers, steel structure platform panels, and stair tread panels. The crossbars are typically made of twisted square steel.
Manufacturing Process of Steel Grating Panels: Steel grating panels are made by arranging load-bearing flat steel and crossbars at certain intervals, then welded into a solid sheet using a 200-ton hydraulic resistance welding automation system. The sheet is then processed through cutting, punching, and edging to meet the customer's requirements. Spacing of Load-bearing Flat Steel: The spacing between adjacent load-bearing flat steels is commonly 30, 40, 50, and other sizes. Spacing of Crossbars: The spacing between adjacent crossbars is typically 50, 76, 80, 100, and other options, which can be produced according to customer specifications and customized to various steel grating panel models based on customer needs.
Product Features of Steel Grating Plates:
1: High strength, lightweight structure.
2: Excellent corrosion resistance, durable in use.
3: Aesthetically pleasing with a glossy surface.
4: No dirt accumulation, no snow or rain buildup, no water pooling, self-cleaning, easy to maintain.
5: Good ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, non-slip, and explosion-proof properties.
Easy to install and dismantle.
Product Applications: Widely used in the petrochemical, tobacco, power, water supply, wastewater treatment, port, wharf, construction decoration, shipbuilding, self-propelled parking lots, municipal engineering, environmental protection engineering, and other platforms, walkways, gangways, manhole covers, ladder covers, fences, and ceilings for industrial and civil buildings such as large sports venues, exhibitions, large-scale commercial buildings, stations, docks, and airports.
Stainless Steel Grating
Also known as stainless steel grating panels. There are typically two methods of manufacturing: one involves welding together stainless steel flat bars and round bars; the other is an interlocking design using stainless steel flat bars. They possess excellent corrosion resistance, a clean appearance, and a very ideal decorative effect, though they are generally more expensive.
Stainless Steel Grating Categories:
It can be categorized into flat, toothed, and I-shaped types, with over 200 specifications and varieties (the surface can be protected differently depending on the application environment).
Material: Typically 304, 316, 316L stainless steel grades are used.
Manufacturing Process:
Available in two types: machine welding and handcrafted. Machine welding employs a high-pressure resistance welding machine, where a robotic arm automatically places the crossbar horizontally on evenly arranged flat steel bars. The crossbar is then pressed into the flat steel using powerful welding power and hydraulic pressure, resulting in high-quality steel grating with strong weld points, excellent stability, and enhanced strength. Handcrafted steel grating involves first punching holes in the flat steel, then inserting the crossbar and spot welding it into place. There will be gaps between the crossbar and flat steel, but every contact point is welded, achieving a melting connection equivalent to the flat steel and twisted steel, thus providing a stronger焊接 with slightly improved strength, albeit with a less aesthetic appearance than machine welding.
Surface Treatment:
After pickling and passivation, the surface is semi-glossy gray-white.
b. Electrochemical polishing results in a brighter surface with higher luster.
c. The finished product is heat-treated and polished, followed by electrochemical polishing, then chrome-plated, achieving a mirror-like finish.
Advantages:
Lightweight, high strength, high load-bearing capacity, material-saving and economical, ventilated and light-transmitting, modern style, aesthetically pleasing, anti-slip and safe, easy to clean, simple installation, durable.
Usage:
Stainless steel grating plates are widely used in power plants, chemical factories, oil refineries, steel mills, machinery manufacturing plants, shipyards, paper mills, cement plants, food processing plants, and bridge projects, as well as municipal engineering projects and wastewater treatment facilities where corrosion resistance is highly required. The selection of stainless steel grating plates is similar to that of carbon steel grating plates. Due to their special properties, stainless steel grating plates are extensively applied in various factories both domestically and internationally.
Stainless Steel Grating Cover Plates
Stainless steel grating covers, also known as stair tread plates, steel stair tread plates, and tread plates, are a type of stairboard used for platforms. They come in two installation methods: welded connections and bolted connections. Welded tread plates can be directly welded to the stair beam.
Overview
Welded fixed tread plates, directly welded to the ladder beam, without the need for side plates for the tread plates, offering a more economical option; however, they are not easily removable. For tread plates secured with bolts, thicker side plates are required, with holes pre-drilled for installation, which can be directly fastened by bolts and are reusable. Customers can customize according to their specific needs, using suitable steel grating plates to fabricate various sizes to match the corresponding staircase.
Features & Applications
Step plates are extremely easy to install; no complex assembly required.
(2) Excellent ventilation, lighting, heat dissipation, explosion-proof, and anti-slip properties.
(3) High strength, lightweight structure, and durable tread plates.
(4) Extremely easy to maintain and prevents dirt accumulation.
Tread plates find extensive use in various applications. They are commonly employed in power plants, water treatment facilities, and factories, as well as in platforms and walkways of municipal projects, environmental protection projects, and large venues such as cinemas, visitor platforms, and parking lots.
