Glucose (Chemical Formula: C6H12O6), also known as Corn Glucose and Corn Sugar, is commonly abbreviated as Glucose. Chemical Name: 2,3,4,5,6-Pentahydroxyhexanal. English Synonyms: Dextrose, Cornsugar, Grapesugar, Bloodsugar. It is the most widely distributed and important monosaccharide in nature and is a polyhydroxy aldehyde.
Pure grape sugar is a colorless crystal with a sweet taste, but less sweet than sucrose (the sweetness is undetectable to most people). It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in ether. The aqueous solution of natural grape sugar rotates polarized light to the right, thus it is classified as "dextrose."
Grape sugar holds a significant position in the biological field, serving as the energy source for living cells and an intermediate product of metabolism, i.e., the primary energy substance for organisms. Plants can produce grape sugar through photosynthesis. It is widely used in the confectionery industry and the pharmaceutical field.

Under dry conditions, sucrose maintains excellent stability, and its aqueous solution can be sterilized under high pressure. Overheating can lead to a decrease in the solution's pH and caramelization. Bulk finished products should be stored in dry, low-temperature, sealed containers.
