Geotextile Bag Introduction:
Geotextile bags are continuous (or separate) bag-like products made from a double-layered fiber-reinforced synthetic material. The application of geosynthetic materials in engineering is a new technology that has developed over the past two decades, introduced and developed in our country in the late 1970s. Molded concrete is produced by injecting concrete or cement mortar into the bags using a high-pressure pump, with the thickness of the concrete or cement mortar controlled by the length of the suspended cables and ropes (polymers like nylon) inside the bag. After solidification, the concrete or cement mortar forms a board-like or other structural shape with a certain strength, meeting the requirements of engineering projects. As a new type of building material, geotextile bags are widely used in protective projects such as river, riverbank, lake, sea embankments, slopes, harbors, and docks.
Features include:
(1) Geotextile bags construction uses a single spray irrigation molding process, making it simple and quick to install.
(2) Geotextile bags are adaptable to various complex terrains, particularly in deep-water revetments and bottom protection where no embankment filling is required. They can be directly constructed underwater, with a high degree of mechanization. The protected slope area is large, with strong integrity and good stability, offering a long service life.
(3) Geotextile bags have a certain permeability. After concrete or cement mortar is poured in, excess water seeps out through the fabric gaps, quickly reducing the water-cement ratio and accelerating the curing speed of concrete, thereby enhancing its compressive strength.
Rectangular formwork fabric has no filtration points on the surface, and can be filled with concrete or mortar according to the construction process. After filling and shaping, it features even contours and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The non-filtration type formwork is a four-layer structure with a double-layer fabric, where the second and third layers form an interlaced reinforcement. The filled and shaped product achieves the designed thickness, offering high compressive strength of the solidified body and an attractive appearance. This product has a wide range of applications and is one of the most widely used formworks. It is generally suitable for embankment, slope protection,堤岸, and bottom protection projects such as reservoirs, water channels, river courses, and ponds.
The manufacturing process for the circular mold bags is relatively complex, suitable for projects with smaller concrete filling thicknesses, such as river channel revetments and beach protection.
The filling material inside the hinge mold bags is mainly mortar; in special cases, concrete may be filled in an appropriate amount upon the design unit's approval. The blocks are fixed with different strength ropes longitudinally and transversely, threaded through the center of the blocks. This ensures that the blocks are securely fastened to each other, allowing for drainage and the ability to settle or shift downward freely after brushing or after the foundation settles. This product is suitable for riverbeds and slope footings, as well as bends in rivers, serving as a protective measure against erosion.
The filling material for grass planting bags is usually mortar. The product is available in two types: woven with a "check" pattern and without a "check" pattern. The former has a complex structure with frame dimensions typically ranging from 22 to 30 cm. The thickness around the frame is less than 15 cm, and the cross-section forms an oval mortar solid. The frames are suitable for planting trees, flowers, and grass to beautify slopes; they also serve as innovative materials for residential areas.
