With the increasing popularity of explosion-proof electrical equipment, many hazardous explosive areas have installed and used such equipment. Many end-users believe that once explosion-proof electrical equipment is installed in hazardous explosive areas, everything is settled. However, in many cases, the so-called explosion-proof equipment lacks valid explosion-proof certificates, or the certificates have expired or are counterfeit. The markings do not match the explosion-proof certificates, the explosion-proof type selection is incorrect, gas explosion-proof equipment and dust explosion-proof equipment are mixed, the wiring of explosion-proof equipment installation is improper, the lines are not grounded, holes are drilled or buttons are installed on the explosion-proof enclosure causing it to fail, and the explosion-proof equipment is subjected to long-term corrosion, high temperatures, and intense vibrations.
For explosion-proof electrical equipment in use, the AQ 3009-2007 "Electrical Safety Regulations for Explosion-Proof in Hazardous Areas" standard stipulates:Electrical equipment used in explosion-proof environments should be inspected by a certified explosion-proof testing center at least once every 3 years for performance, installation, and maintenance.Immediate corrective actions must be taken for items that fail inspections, and the inspection report and corrective measures must be filed with the安全生产监督管理部门.
Conducting explosion-proof field inspections on electrical equipment in use is not only a requirement of the safety production department, but also a manifestation of a company's emphasis on its own life and property safety.
Process for Enterprises to Apply for On-site Explosion-Proof Inspection
1. The company provides the area of explosion-proof sites and the quantity of explosion-proof electrical products for us to evaluate and quote.
2. Officially sign the cooperation agreement; the company provides detailed information on explosion-proof sites.
3. For on-site explosion-proof inspections, the following documents must be provided:
(1) Area of explosion-proof site
(2) Explosion Hazard Area Division Map
(3) Names of explosive hazardous substances within the relevant danger zones and their Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
(4) List of explosion-proof electrical products, including installation area and tag number information
(5) Copies of explosion-proof electrical products' explosion-proof certification
(6) Instructions for Special Application Conditions of Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment
(7) Descriptive Technical Document for Intrinsically Safe System
(8) Installation Quality Documents
4. Engineers conduct on-site inspections of explosion-proof electrical products and provide整改意见 for non-compliant items.
5. The company is to cooperate with the rectification measures within the predetermined period, as per the整改意见.
6. Engineer conducts on-site reassessment; upon qualification, issues on-site inspection report
7. The company provides the final inspection report for filing with the local safety supervision department.
Conducting explosion-proof site inspections on in-use explosion-proof electrical equipment is not only a requirement of the safety production department, but also a testament to the company's emphasis on its own life and property safety.
