On October 1, 2019, the National Market监督管理总局 officially included explosion-proof electrical equipment in the scope of the national mandatory product certification, replacing the explosion-proof production license with the explosion-proof CCC certification. As a product for special industries, the National Certification Supervision Commission has designated issuing bodies for the explosion-proof CCC certificates.

Currently, there are 6 authorized issuing agencies for the CCC certification of explosion-proof electrical equipment, namely:
