Rock (Regularly Shaped Body) Shear Strength Test
Our factory producesThe J50-1B Rock Direct Shear Tester is our newly developed product. Using a portable instrument, the direct shear test of rock samples in original packaging with a regular 50*50 (optional specifications) shape is conducted, and this type of test method is referred to as the Rock Direct Shear Tester test.
(I) Test Objective
The maximum ability of rock to resist shear failure is known as the rock's shear strength. Shear strength tests are typically conducted5Multiple specimens, subjected to different vertical loads, are sheared by applying shear loads. The maximum shear stress τ at the point of failure is determined. The shear strength parameters of the rock, including the internal friction angle (φ) and cohesion, are then determined based on the relationship curve between the shear stress τ and the normal stress σ.cThis test measures the shear strength of hard and semi-hard rock samples that can be cut and shaped into regular geometrical forms.
