Product Manual
I. Product Introduction
PB-type polymer-modified asphalt waterproofing coatings are divided into PB-Ⅰ and PB-Ⅱ types. They are polymer-modified asphalt waterproofing coatings made by modifying asphalt with a mixture of various rubbers as the base material, using water as the medium, and formulating them.
II. Product Details
PB-1 Polymer-Modified Asphalt Waterproofing Coating
Product Model: LSK-PB
Product form: Single-component, brown-black liquid paste
Standard JC/T975-2005
Section 3: Product Advantages
1. The waterproofing layer forms a film quickly and provides excellent waterproofing effects.
2. The construction process is simple, allowing both manual brushing and mechanical spraying, with both methods achieving the same effect.
3. High-temperature resistant, corrosion-resistant, aging-resistant, with a long service life.
4. Strong shear resistance; when combined with glass short fibers in construction, forms a flexible bridge deck waterproofing layer.
5. The main advantage is that the rubber in the modified asphalt forms a continuous network that interpenetrates and cross-links, resulting in the modified asphalt exhibiting high polymer properties.
Section 4: Application Scope
Our products are specifically designed for waterproofing projects on highway bridges, urban overpasses, and railway bridges, as well as for building roofs, basements, and tunnel engineering.
V. Construction Technology
1. Substrate preparation
(1) The base material must be sturdy, flat, and clean, free of dust, grease, wax, release agents, and other debris.
All small holes and sand eyes can be sealed using Leak King, mixed with a little water to form a wet mass, then smoothed over.
Prior to applying the paint material, the substrate can be pre-wetted, but no standing water should be present.
2. Subgrade Treatment: New concrete has reached the design strength, surface cracks and natural shrinkage cracks are basically completed, the subgrade surface must be free of dust, dirt, grease, and standing water, achieving a clean and dry condition.
3. Construction equipment must be complete and in good working condition.
Before application, mix the paint thoroughly. Keep stirring intermittently during the application process to prevent settling.
5. Prior to large-scale application, first paint the pre-treated surface with a small brush in 2-3 coats. Then, proceed with the large-scale application of the coating. Typically, wait 3-6 hours (but no more than 24 hours, depending on temperature) before applying additional coats until the desired thickness is achieved.
Six. Cautionary Notes
1. This product is suitable for use in environments between 5°C and 35°C. It must be protected from rain, intense sunlight, and frost during the installation process.
2. Sediment is normal and does not affect quality; simply stir well before use.
3. Material Storage: Strictly no exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight. If the drum is opened, seal it immediately after use; be cautious of freezing at 0°C.
Section 7: Recommended Usage
When the waterproofing layer thickness is 1mm, the required amount is 1.2-1.5kg/m², with the actual amount depending on the specific base condition.
Section 8: Shelf Life:
Under normal storage and transportation conditions, the shelf life is 6 months.
Section 9: Packaging Specifications:
1. Product Specifications
50 lbs/bag
2. Packaging Materials
Outer packaging in plastic drums.
