Modern urban surfaces are often covered with reinforced concrete buildings and impermeable roadways, lacking the breathing, heat absorption, and rainwater permeability of natural soil. This leads to a series of environmental issues, and concrete has long been considered a culprit in nature's destruction. However, by creating continuous voids, a connection point with the natural environment can be established.

The unique porous structure of the eco-permeable pavement allows lower ground temperatures to transfer to the surface, thereby reducing the overall temperature of the paved area. In real life, an increasing number of buildings are reducing people's comfort and expanding the range of thermal stress.

Air quality has severely deteriorated, with various toxic smog easily spreading in the hot air. More smoke is leading to an increasing number of people suffering from respiratory diseases, with daily life fraught with danger. Due to the reduction in tree shade, people are exposed to the sun for extended periods, and the low density of building materials (15-25% voids) reduces the ground's heat storage capacity, significantly increasing the likelihood of skin cancer. The structural characteristics of permeable concrete make the permeable paving system nearly as effective in heat absorption and storage as natural vegetation, thus addressing the issue of people's living environment.

Porous pavement is made by uniformly mixing aggregates, binder, additives, cement, and water, then spreading it to form a road surface. It boasts higher strength and durability than concrete, meeting the structural mechanical properties, functional requirements, and lifespan expectations. It also exhibits harmony with nature, reducing the burden on the Earth and the ecosystem, and achieving the recyclability of non-renewable resources.
